તેજ પૂનમનું ઝીલું ન ઝીલું, અંધકાર અમાસનો ગળી ગયો
ભાવ ભરી હૈયામાં `મા' ની પાસે બેઠો, ભાવ હૈયાનો હૈયામાં રહી ગયો
કહેવું હતું ખૂબ તુજને માડી, મૌન બની તુજને કહી ગયો
દુઃખ દર્દના હૈયાના ભાવો, અશ્રુથી તુજને આજ કહી ગયો
દૃષ્ટિ તારી અમીભરી માડી, હિંમત હૈયે ભરી ગયો
દૃષ્ટિથી તુજ દૃષ્ટિ મળતા, હૈયે શાંતિ હું પામી ગયો
સહન થાતું ન હતું મુજથી, સહન કરતો આજ થઈ ગયો
તુજથી ભાગતો હતો સદા, આજ પાગલ તારો બની ગયો
મુજ મસ્તકે મૂકજે હાથ તારો, પાવન હું તો થઈ ગયો

pujava betho ugata suryane e to tya dhali gayo
tej punamanum jilum na jilum, andhakaar amasano gali gayo
bhaav bhari haiya maa 'maa' ni paase betho, bhaav haiya no haiya maa rahi gayo
kahevu hatu khub tujh ne maadi, mauna bani tujh ne kahi gayo
dukh dardana haiya na bhavo, ashruthi tujh ne aaj kahi gayo
drishti taari amibhari maadi, himmata haiye bhari gayo
drishti thi tujh drishti malata, haiye shanti hu pami gayo
sahan thaatu na hatu mujathi, sahan karto aaj thai gayo
tujathi bhagato hato sada, aaj pagala taaro bani gayo

Explanation in English
In this Gujarati Bhajan Kakaji is in self realisation of his emotions and devotion as this life is too short by the time you think of doing something, something new crops up. As time does not wait for any body. The Divine just needs your emotions no words are needed she understands whatever we are going through.
Kakaji says
Sat to worship the rising sun, but it started falling down.
The light of the full moon did not shine fully till then the darkness of the no moon swallowed it.
Sat infront of the Divine Mother filling emotions in the heart, but all the emotions just stayed in my heart.
I had to tell you a lot O'Mother, but I became silent while telling you.
All the sorrows and pain of my heart, I told you through my tears
Your eye's were widened O'Mother which filled the courage in my heart.
As my eyesight came in contact with your sight, I found peace.
I could not bear it, but I endured it today.
I was always running away from you, but today I became mad for you,
Put your hands on my head O'Mother, You made me pure today.
