સમજનારને સમજવા જાતાં, સમજનાર ભાન ભૂલી બેઠો

ગુણનિધિના ગુણ ગાવાં જાતાં, ગાનાર ભાન ભૂલી બેઠો
રૂપકર્ત્તાનું રૂપ જોવા જાતાં, જોનાર ભાન ભૂલી બેઠો
સત્યનું શોધન કરવા જાતાં, શોધનાર ભાન ભૂલી બેઠો
અદીઠ એ સાથીનો સાથ લેવા જાતાં, સાથ એનો પામી બેઠો
પ્રાર્થના કરવા એની જાતા, મૌન હું તો બની બેઠો
એંધાણીએ, એંધાણીએ ગોતવા જાતાં, પગલાં ભૂલી બેઠો
કર્મો કરતા, યાદ એની કરતા, કર્મ હું તો ભૂલી બેઠો
શોધવા એને જાતાં જાતાં, ખાવુંપીવું ભૂલી બેઠો
દોડી પાછળ પાછળ એની સાનભાન ભૂલી બેઠો

aditha e sathino saath leva jatam, saath eno pami betho
prarthana karva eni jata, mauna hu to bani betho

Explanation in English
In this bhajan Kakaji is into introspection with the Divine about his charisma that nobody can think to make him things understand as he is the most learned of all
And if we think ourselves to be wise enough and teach the Divine then we are bound to forget our senses .
Kakaji explains
Going to the one who is understanding, to make him understand, at such a time the understandable looses his own senses.
The one who is a meritholder while singing the praises of the meritholder the singer forgets.
The one who is the holder of beauty, going to see the form of metaphor the beholder forgets.
When the seeker goes in search of truth, the seeker looses it's senses.
And while going to take the companionship of a stubborn person you do get his company.
As I go to pray, I just sit silently
While searching to somebody unknown I have forgotten my steps
While doing the deeds, remembering him I forgot my karma.
As I went to find him, eating and drinking I have forgotten.
I ran after him, I have forgotten all my realisation about him.
