Gujarati Bhajan no. 744 by Satguru Devendra Ghia - Kaka

Explanation in English
In this Gujarati bhajan, Shri Devendra Ghia, our Guruji, fondly called Pujya Kaka is highlighting the illusion of this illusion. Once again, he is throwing light on our misguided focus and our wasting of time, energy and efforts.
He is saying...
Impermanence is understood, O Mother, Impermanence of this body is understood, still a human is so attached to this body,
That is the attraction of this illusion.
Know that this happiness is not eternal, and the sorrow is also not forever, still this heart remains attached to this joy and sorrow,
That is the attraction of this illusion.
Know that materialistic wealth has not come with you, and also not going to come with you, still we are so attached to this materialistic wealth,
That is the attraction of this illusion.
Know that God is present in everyone and also present in one own self, still do not hesitate to insult others,
That is the effect of this illusion.
Know what is sour and sweet, know what is spicy and mild, all will be absorbed in the stomach, can not let go of The tastebud of the tongue,
That is the attraction of this illusion.
Know what is right and know what is wrong, still get drawn in emotions, don't hesitate to get involved in wrong doings,
That is the effect of this illusion.
Kaka is explaining that we are so gripped and attached to this not so permanent illusion that we are not able to focus on what is eternal and the truth. Our ignorance is actively abetted by illusion. We need to disconnect with materialistic world and tune into universal mind.
Invoke our consciousness and make it conducive to spiritual growth and not materialistic growth.
