Gujarati Bhajan no. 942 by Satguru Devendra Ghia - Kaka

Explanation in English
Pujya Kaka, our Guruji has evolved us as a person, as a devotee and as a student of spirituality. He has taken us on a journey of awareness and change in our priorities, our focus and our faith in Divine. In this bhajan of reflection on time,

He is saying...
Time passes by in no time, and time passed, is not understood.

The days of unhappiness feels unbearable. Every moment of those days is counted.

In happiness, days are felt numbered, how they have passed that is not understood.

We desire days of happiness, and hope to get those days again and again, and we try to stop the time, but time cannot be stopped.

Time will always continue to pass, only memories of joys and sorrows will remain.

In happiness, time is liked, in unhappiness, time is disliked.
This is such a pair, one comes and other one goes.

If we rise above the joys and sorrows then unique tale will be made.
Lived life will be worthwhile, and life will be fulfilled.

Kaka is guiding us to rise above good days and bad days. Days are not good or bad, it is our attitude towards life that is good and bad. Kaka is urging to make the use of time given to us to connect with Divine, instead of temporary happy or unhappy state of our mind.

He has written about 10,000 hymns which cover various aspects of spirituality, such as devotion, inner knowledge, truth, meditation, right action and right living. Most of the Bhajans are in Gujarati, but there is also a treasure trove of Bhajans in English, Hindi and Marathi languages.
