(Knowledge, Truth, Thanks)

Gujarati Bhajan no. 1039 by Satguru Devendra Ghia - Kaka

Lyrics in English
hasta jivasho ke radatam jivasho, jivan jivavum padashe
jivavum hasta ke radatam, nirnay to eno kari leje
mota aaje aavashe ke kale ave, koi na e to mange
haar kshane avakarava motane, taiyari eni kari leje
tana manavanum malyum, malyo che sanyoga mann buddhino
suyoga to eno sadhi, saphal jivan to kari leje
hali mali jivan jivi, aanand jivanano lunti leje
aavashe nahi biju sathe, samaji vartana kari leje
melavava nashvant chijone, aanand jivanano na khoje
anandasagarano ansha che tum, saad anande to raheje

Explanation in English
In this bhajan of life approach,
He is saying...
Live life smiling or live life crying, this life needs to be lived.
To live life smiling or crying, you must decide yourself.
Death may come today or it may come tomorrow, though no one asks for it,
But, be prepared every moment to welcome death.
You have been blessed with human body along with mind and intelligence.
You must align them together and make a success of your life.
Live life in harmony and obtain pleasure of this beautiful life.
No one will accompany you after life, behave keeping that in mind.
To obtain destructible things in life, don’t lose out on the true pleasures of life.
You are a part of an ocean of joy, always remain happy and blessed.
Kaka is so beautifully explaining that living life with joy or with sadness is entirely our decision. We need to cultivate our mind to perceive half glass of water as half full rather than half empty. Positive approach in life leads us to satisfaction and happiness. Life is all about perspective- one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Direct your mind, body and intelligence towards betterment of your being and other beings around. Lead this transient life with fulfilment, satisfaction, joy and happiness. And most importantly, Kaka is urging us to count our blessings.
