આતમ જાતાં તનનું તેજ તો હરાઈ ગયું
આતમ જાતાં તનનું તેજ તો હરાઈ ગયું
સુખે દુઃખે રહ્યા સાથે, મોત જુદા પાડી ગયું
પ્રારબ્ધે તો કીધાં ભેગા, મોતે પાડયા જુદા
અતૂટ એવા તાંતણાને મોત તો તોડી ગયું
ફર્યા સાથે, રહ્યા સાથે, ઊંઘમાં ભી રહ્યા સાથે
એક અનંત નિંદ્રાએ પડયું, બીજું ક્યાંય ઊડી ગયું
દૃષ્ટિમાંથી, દૃષ્ટિનું તેજ આજ નીકળી ગયું
આતમ જાતાં, તન તો શૂન્ય બની ગયું
વાચા ભી તો ગઈ અટકી, મૌન ત્યાં છવાઈ ગયું
સૌ તો રહ્યા જોતા એને, એ ક્યાંય ખોવાઈ ગયું
તનના બંધન તોડી આજે, વ્હાલાને ભી દીધા છોડી
મોત તો આજે, ક્યાંનું ક્યાં તો લઈ ગયું

In this Gujarati bhajan, he is expressing about connection between the soul and the body.
He is saying...
As the soul leaves, the life in the body is finished,
The soul and the body lived together in happy and sad times, death made them apart.
Destiny got them together, but the death made them apart,
Such unbreakable thread was broken in the event of the death.
They wandered together, they stayed together, they lived together even in the sleep.
One got into infinite sleep and the other one flew away somewhere.
The power of vision is gone from the eyes today,
As the soul left, the body became nil.
Even the speech is lost and the silence prevailed.
Everyone kept looking at the body, but the soul went away somewhere else.
Leaving the bonds of body and leaving the dear ones today,
Death took the soul away where and where.
Kaka (Satguru Devendra Ghia) is explaining how body is left without a life, when soul leaves this body. Kaka (Satguru Devendra Ghia) is expressing the experience of death of a body and release of a soul very vividly. He is emphasising on a fact that this body is nothing without the energy of the soul. Togetherness of a lifetime just ends in a fraction of a moment, the eternal Soul vanishes to somewhere else and the perishable body just lies speechless, movement less and lifeless. The soul gets released and the body gets discharged, such is the ultimate fact of transient existence of our body.
