Gujarati Bhajan no. 1075 by Satguru Devendra Ghia - Kaka

Explanation in English
In this Gujarati bhajan,
He is saying...
After coming into this world, when we get in trouble, then The Divine Mother is remembered in that second.
Indulging in this worldly illusion, living a life in this indulgence, then The Divine Mother is forgotten in that moment.
While making efforts, if disappointments are me, then The Divine Mother is remembered in that second,
When success is achieved and indulging in that success, then The Divine Mother is forgotten in that moment.
When harsh words are spoken and they have pierced through the heart, then The Divine Mother is remembered in that second.
When fire of lust has risen in the heart, then The Divine Mother is forgotten in that moment.
When greed rises inside, and to fulfil that desire, The Divine Mother is remembered in that second.
While committing sins, and being forced by it, then The Divine Mother is forgotten in that moment.
When loss of everyone around is experienced, and life becomes unbearable, then The Divine Mother is remembered in that second.
When anger is gripping the heart, and senses are lost, then The Divine Mother is forgotten in that moment.
Kaka is explaining that our devotion, our longing for Divine Mother is self centric and self fulfilling. This kind of devotion is not only meaningless, but is utterly selfish. Kaka is urging us to evaluate our emotions, thoughts, and behaviour and resonate, and be eternally grateful to Divine Mother for everything in life. Have sense of devotion which is one pointed and love, which is pure and true to the core. Then, the blessings of Divine Mother which is already there upon us will be noticed by us. Divine Mother’s love is non obligatory and non discriminatory.
