Gujarati Bhajan no. 1082 by Satguru Devendra Ghia - Kaka

Explanation in English
In this bhajan of life approach,
He is saying...
Don’t measure vastness with narrow mind, your measurements will fall short.
Having deceit in your heart, don’t measure the truth, your measurements will be wrong.
Having desires in your heart, don’t measure this world, then your measurements will be incomplete.
Feeling anger in your heart, don’t look at anyone, your measurements will not be true.
Having prejudice in your heart, don’t look at anyone, your measurements will not be justified.
Feeling lust and motherly love, if you measure others, your measurements will do injustice.
Without respect for people, don’t measure this world, your measurements will create problems.
To measure your behaviour, take a correct measuring unit, which will measure you truthfully.
As the pureness rises in the heart, then you measure the world, there will be no need for any measurements.
Kaka is explaining that when we ourselves are so full of imperfections and disorders, there is no ground on which we can stand and measure others or anything in this world. We often become highly judgemental and opinionated about others, that’s why Kaka is urging us to see others with pure heart instead of with preconceived notion and prejudice. Kaka is urging us to evaluate ourselves before evaluating others. He is reminding us that When we point a finger at others, three fingers are pointed at us.
