Sikkani Hoye Be Baju, Nokh Nokhi Dekhay

(Knowledge, Truth, Thanks)

Gujarati Bhajan no. 1140 by Satguru Devendra Ghia - Kaka

Explanation in English
In this Gujarati bhajan on life approach and understanding,
He is saying...
There are two sides to a coin, and they both look different.
One is incomplete without the other one.
Similarly, joys and sorrows are the two aspects of life, and both are equal parts of this life.
Life is incomplete without either one.
When one remains on the top, then the other one is not seen.
But, one cannot stay on the top forever. This pattern never changes.
One cannot stay on the top forever, it will always change.
When which one will be on the top, that cannot be said.
This is a unique pattern of life, which is continuing since forever.
Please wait with patience, and the expected element of life will come back on the top.
Kaka is explaining that nothing in life stays the same forever, be it happiness or sorrows. Change is the constant thing in life. Joys and sorrows are the true essence of life, and one is incomplete without the other one. Kaka is urging us to deal with our unhappiness with patience, as eventually, happiness will resurface. Kaka is also urging us to keep our balance in thoughts through negative and positive circumstances because none these circumstances are going to last forever. One must not get too excited with happiness and not get too dejected with unhappiness. Eventually, it will pass.
