Aavan Ne Jivan Toh Jagma Chale, Koi Aaj Aave, Koi Kaal Aave

(Life Approach, Understanding)

Gujarati Bhajan no. 1182 by Satguru Devendra Ghia - Kaka

kamikane jaat to jue, ne kamikane to pote valave
din to potano javano, tya to chalyo aave
hasta vitavi hat jevi has
jevi baji bhuline, drishti bijani same rakhe

Explanation in English
In this Gujarati bhajan of introspection,
He is saying...
Going and coming goes on in the world, someone comes today and someone comes tomorrow.
No one stays in this world forever, someone goes today, and someone goes tomorrow.
The days are passing by in playing, and nights are passing by in sleeping.
Time is passing by just like that, which is difficult to understand.
The days of happiness pass by, and days of unhappiness also pass by.
It feels that breaths have just started, and the call to leave the world comes by.
Many are seen leaving, and many are sent off too.
Our days are just going and going.
Few are living life with smiles, and few are living in sadness.
Many forget about themselves and keep the focus on others.
Kaka is explaining that life is fragile and time bound. Before we know it, the end will come soon. Our days and nights are just passing by either in happiness or in sadness. Kaka is urging us to be aware of our ordinary existence and be aware of the fact that whoever comes in this world, eventually, departs from this world. Therefore, utilise the time given to us in fulfilment of true purpose.
