મૂળ તો રહ્યા છે સદા એના તુજમાં
શોધી નિર્મૂળ એને જો નહિ કરે

શા કાજે દુર્લક્ષ એનું કરે
જો શાંત એને તું નહિ કરે
આશાંતિ હૈયે તો સદા જોર કરે
મંથને મંથને વિષ તો ઉપર આવે
ઉતરશે નહિ ઊંડો અંતરે, અમૃત નહિ જડે
પ્રેમનું જળ હૈયે જો તું નહિ ભરે
હૈયાનો અગ્નિ તો નહિ શમે

shodha eni, bahaar tu kem kare
mula to rahya che saad ena tujh maa
shodhi nirmula ene jo nahi kare
vasanathi haiyu taaru jya bharyu rahe
sha kaaje durlaksha enu kare
nahi shant enanthi kare
karee karee kare hai shant enada
enada manthane visha to upar aave

In this Gujarati bhajan,
He is saying…
The peace of heart is gone in hiding, why do you search for it outside?
The roots of it is always within you, why don’t you uproot it from inside?
Your heart is filled with desires, why do you overlook them?
If you don’t calm the desires in your heart, then unrest will always rule your heart.
Upon churning, the poison of your desires will come up first, if you don’t churn deep enough then nectar will not be found.
If you don’t feel your heart with love, then the fire (unrest) of heart will never die.
In this very simple bhajan, Kaka (Satguru Devendra Ghia) is explaining about the fundamental phenomenon of our lives in today’s situation.
Kaka (Satguru Devendra Ghia) is explaining that the peace of mind that we all search for and long for is only within us, in our attitude, in our satisfaction, in our emotions, in our connection with Almighty, in our feelings of gratitude and in emotions of Love. Kaka (Satguru Devendra Ghia) is explaining that we search for the peace, the calm, the joy in external factors, which creates even more desires and brings even more unhappiness and unrest. Kaka (Satguru Devendra Ghia) is urging us to uproot our deep rooted desires and fill the heart with love, which will make us connect with peace in most natural way effortlessly.
