તુજ અંશમાંથી અંશ બનાવી માડી

વિશ્વમાં મુજને વહેતો કર્યો
તુજ શક્તિમાંથી તો શક્તિ ભરી
એનાથી તો હું અજાણ રહ્યો
મર્યાદારહિત તું તો છે રે માડી
મર્યાદાથી તો મુજને બાંધ્યો
જડ અને ચેતનમાં રહી તું તો વ્યાપી
મુજને તો તે ચેતનવંતો કર્યો
સુખ અને આનંદનો ભંડાર તું તો રહી
સુખ અને આનંદ માટે ફરતો રહ્યો
સત્તા તો જગમાં સદા તારી રહી
મોડો વહેલો તો એ સમજ્યો
લીલા તો છે માડી આ તો કેવી
છું તારો તોય તુજથી જુદો કર્યો

In this Gujarati bhajan,
He is saying…
I am a part of you, O Divine Mother, and you have let me flow in this world.
Filled your own energy in me, O Divine Mother, but, I remained ignorant of it.
You are limitless, O Divine Mother, but you have bound me with the limits.
You are omnipresent, even in lifeless and in every life, O Divine Mother, you have made me with your consciousness.
You are the treasure of happiness and bliss, O Divine Mother, but you have kept me roaming in search of happiness.
You are the omnipotent in this world, O Divine Mother, I have understood that eventually.
The play of yours is such, O Divine Mother, that though, I am part of you, still you have kept me separate from you.
Kaka is reflecting that we all are a part of the Supreme. We are part of Divine consciousness, still we are given separate identity from the Supreme. The purpose of this human life given to us, is to merge back with the Supreme, which is our source, our beginning and our end.
