સમજી પુણ્ય, પાપ આચરી બેસું - કહી...
ભટક્યો ખૂબ જગમાં, હૈયે સુખના ફાંફાં
સુખ કાજે દોડી, દુઃખ તો પામું - કહી...
જાણું, છે તું સુખ ને આનંદનો ભંડાર
ગોતું સદા બહાર, તુજને હૈયે વિસારું - કહી...

Not just one, but I have made many efforts,
Where is my mistake, that is not understood.

I have wandered a lot in the world, but there is shortage of happiness in the heart. I run after happiness and end up getting unhappiness.

I am aware that you are the treasure of happiness and joy, I still search for it outside, forgetting about You.

Kaka is explaining how we lead a delusional life, thinking that we are noble and virtuous and spirituality focused. But the fact is that we continue committing sins under the pretext of being virtuous, driven by our desires and endless thoughts. We keep searching for happiness in outside sources despite knowing that the source of of joy and happiness is within ourselves. Kaka is urging us to steer our focus and efforts in the true direction and realign ourselves to travel within to find our divine power of happiness.
