કોઈ ફૂલ સુગંધ ફેલાવે, કોઈ રંગોથી આનંદ રેલાવે
રૂપ છે એના નોખનોખા, નોખનોખા એ તો દેખાયે
એક જ ધરતીમાંથી રસ ચૂસી, ભાત નોખી એ તો પાડે
હૈયે કોમળતા ભરી એને, કોમળ હૈયાને એ તો ફાવે
મનગમતી સુગંધ પ્રસરે હૈયે, મન તરબતર કરી જાયે
બનતા પ્રફુલ્લિત મન, એનાથી થાક મનનો ઊતરી જાયે
કરે મન પર અસર એ જલદી, અસર એની જલદી થાયે
પામ્યું સ્થાન પૂજનમાં, એના આ ગુણના તો કારણે
બની ભાવનું પ્રતીક એ, શું શવ કે પ્રભુને ચડાવે
ફૂલ વિના પૂજન લૂખ્ખા, લૂખ્ખા તો સદાયે લાગે

banatā praphullita mana, ēnāthī thāka mananō ūtarī jāyē
karē mana para asara ē jaladī, asara ēnī jaladī thāyē
pāmyuṁ sthāna pūjanamāṁ, ēnā ā guṇanā tō kāraṇē
banī bhāvanuṁ pratīka ē, śuṁ śava kē prabhunē caḍāvē
phūla vinā pūjana lūkhkhā, lūkhkhā tō sadāyē lāgē

In this Gujarati bhajan, Pujya Kakaji is saying…
Some flowers spread fragrance and some flowers spread joy by their colours.
There are many varieties of flowers but they all look unique.
From the same earth, they all grow, but they have unique impressions.
Flowers are soft and they are loved by soft hearts.
They spread beautiful fragrances, intoxicating the mind with happiness.
As the mind becomes happy, all the tiredness just melts away.
It has a powerful impact on the mind and also an instantaneous effect.
Flowers have found a place in Puja (worship) because of its purity.
It becomes a symbol of emotions and it is offered on a dead body. It is also offered to God.
Without flowers, the Puja (worship) looks incomplete and emotionless.
Kaka explains the significance of flowers in one’s life. Flowers are the givers. They spread beautiful fragrances and also spread joy and happiness. Flowers are symbols of warmth, softness and purity. They are offered in Puja (worship) symbolising the emotions. Pu in the word Puja refers to Pushpam (flower). Flowers emit and attract positive energy.
