darda sahana karyā vinā, dardanuṁ jñāna thātuṁ nathī
kājala kōṭaḍīmāṁ rahī, ḍāgha lāgyā vinā rahētō nathī
prabhu bhajana vinā, dēha sārthaka thātō nathī

No one’s work has ever been stuck even when there is no one to help.
Without the soul, this body cannot survive.
Without the light of the sun, the darkness cannot be eradicated.
Without right understanding, ignorance cannot be abolished.
Without detachment, the haze of attachment cannot be abolished.
Only in hard times, a true friend can be identified.
Without suffering pain, one cannot understand pain.
When one stays in the den of evil, then one’s reputation cannot remain untouched.
Without devotion to the Lord, the purpose of this body cannot be fulfilled.
Without the grace of Divine Mother, this cycle of rebirths cannot be abolished.
