મારું જીવન ચકડોળ જેમ ચાલે, ચકડોળ જેમ ચાલે
મારું જીવન ચકડોળ જેમ ચાલે, ચકડોળ જેમ ચાલે
કદી સુખમાં આનંદે મ્હાલે, કદી દુઃખમાં પડી દુઃખી થાયે
કદી આશામાં બહુ ડૂબી, નિરાશામાં એ સરકી જાયે
ક્રોધનો આવેશ ચડે ન ચડે, એ પ્રેમપૂરમાં બહુ તણાયે
ત્યાગની વાતોમાં ખૂબ રાચે, માયાના ચક્રાવે ચડી જાયે
હસવા સદા યત્ન કરતા, કદી એ ખૂબ ખૂબ રડી જાયે
શરણાગતિની વાતો કરી, એ આળસમાં ડૂબી જાયે
પ્રેમની વાતો ખૂબ કરી, એ કામમાં સરકી જાયે
કર્મ, અકર્મની કડાકૂટમાં પડી, એ તો બહુ મૂંઝાઈ જાયે
જ્ઞાનની વાતો ખૂબ વાંચી, જ્ઞાન તો અંચળો પહેરી રાખે
પ્રભુની વાતો એ તો ખૂબ કરી, પ્રભુમય એ બની જાયે
પ્રભુની ઝાંખી મળતાં, એ તો શ્રદ્ધાથી ખૂબ ડોલી જાયે

maaru jivan chakadola jem chale, chakadola jem chale
kadi sukhama anande nhale, kadi duhkhama padi dukhi thaye
kadi ashamam bahu dubi, nirashamam e saraki jaaye
krodh no avesha chade na chade, e premapuramam bahu tanaye
tyagani vaato maa khub rache, mayana chakrave chadi jaaye
hasava saad yatna karata, kadi e khub khuba radi jaaye
sharanagatini vato kari, e alasamam dubi jaaye
premani vato khub kari, e kamamam saraki jaaye
karma, akarmani kadakutamam padi, e to bahu munjhai jaaye
jnanani vato khub vanchi, jnaan to anchalo paheri rakhe

Explanation in English
Kakaji in this bhajan tells us about the wheel of life which turns a man’s life-
My life turns like a merry go round, turns like a merry go round
Sometimes it enjoys the fruits of happiness, sometimes it falls in despair and becomes sad
Sometimes it drowns in hope, and sometimes drifts in sorrow
The tide of anger may aggravate or not, he gets drifted in the ocean of love
He gets entangled in the talks of sacrifice but gets carried away by illusion
He always tries to laugh, but many times he cries often
He talks of martyrs, he drifts into laziness
A lot of talks have been made of love, he drifts in performing the work
To perform Deeds, and not to perform the deeds, in all of these he gets too confused
He has read a lot about knowledge, he has adorned the garb of knowledge
He has spoken a lot about the worship of God, he gets carried away in the worship of God
By just getting a glimpse of God, he gets drowned in the faith of God.
Kakaji, in this beautiful bhajan, mentions the worldly entanglements of the being and the only solace he gets is in the worship and in the glory of God.
