ડૂબતી છે નૈયા મારી, તારો છે એક આધાર

ચારેકોર તોફાન છે માડી, બન્યો છું બહુ લાચાર
કર્મો મારા આંખો સામે નાચી, પાડે છે બહુ પોકાર
ઝાલીને હાથ મારો માડી, નાવડી હવે તું તાર
મદમાં બનીને ચૂર માડી, સાચું સૂઝયું નહીં લગાર
કર્મો કરતા જોયું નહીં માડી, હવે લાગે છે એનો ભાર
માર્ગ સૂઝતો નથી માડી, યાદ આવે છે તું વારંવાર
ઝાલીને હાથ મારો માડી, નાવડી હવે તું તાર
જાણ્યું છે મેં તો માડી, દેવામાં છે તું બહુ દિલદાર
વ્હારે ચડજે વહેલી માડી, કરજે તું કરુણા અપાર
તારા વિના માડી મારી, નૈયા ઝોલા ખાયે મઝધાર

Kakaji, in this hymn, implores the Divine Mother to hold the devotee’s hand and guide him towards the shore-
My boat is sinking Mother, You are the only support
There is chaos and storm brewing everywhere Mother, I have become helpless
The deeds are dancing in front of my eyes, it’s beckoning me
While holding my hand's Mother, ferry my boat to the bank
I have been covered with dirt Mother, I have not understood the truth and reality
While performing the deeds Mother, I did not see, now I feel it’s a burden
I am not finding the way Mother, I remember You again and again
While holding my hand's Mother, anchor my boat to the shore
I have known Mother that You are very generous while giving
You love me, eternal Mother, You show a lot of empathy endless
Without you my Mother, my boat gets capsized midway
While holding my hand's Mother, You bring the boat to the shore
Here Kakaji in this beautiful hymn implores the Divine Mother to guide the being towards a virtuous life and to protect him from all the adversities.
