જગમાં જ્યાં આવ્યો છે તું બનીને એક પ્રવાસી

આનંદસ્વરૂપ ભૂલીને તારું, બન્યો છે તું કેમ ઉદાસી
સત્ સ્વરૂપ ભૂલીને તારું, માયામાં રહ્યો છે અટવાઈ
મુક્તસ્વરૂપ હતું જ્યાં તારું, જગનાં બંધનથી ગયો બંધાઈ
કર્મોનું ચક્કર ચાલતું રહ્યું, સદા રહ્યો તું એમાં ફસાઈ
વીસરી ગયો ઉદ્દેશ તારો, સદા રહ્યો તું તો ભરમાઈ
જગમાં છે મહેમાન તું થોડો, તોયે જગથી રહ્યો તું બંધાઈ
સાચું સ્વરૂપ ભૂલીને તારું, ગયો વીસરી પ્રભુની સગાઈ
સાચું સ્થાન છે પ્રભુ દ્વારે, જગમાં તોયે ગયો લપેટાઈ
તૈયારી કરી દે તારી જવાની, સદા આવશે સાથે તારી ભલાઈ

jag maa jya aavyo che tu bani ne ek pravasi
anandasvarupa bhuli ne tarum, banyo che tu kem udasi
sat swaroop bhuli ne tarum, maya maa rahyo che atavaai
muktasvarupa hatu jya tarum, jaganam bandhanathi gayo bandhai
karmonum chakkara chalatu rahyum, saad rahyo tu ema phasai
visari gayo uddesha taro, saad rahyo tu to bharamai
jag maa che mahemana tu thodo, toye jagathi rahyo tu bandhai
saachu swaroop bhuli ne tarum, gayo visari prabhu ni sagaai
saachu sthana che prabhu dvare, jag maa toye gayo lapetai
taiyari kari de taari javani, saad aavashe saathe taari bhalai
Explanation in English
In this Gujarati Bhajan Shri Devendra Ghia ji (Kakaji) is trying to spread knowledge about Self realisation.
He unfolds the reality,
You (human) is just a traveller in this world.
And forgetting your joyful form you are in sadness.
You have deserted your original form and stuck in fantasy.
You are a liberated soul, but you are tied in the bondage of the world.
The cycle of Karma (actions) shall always continue and you shall always be trapped in it.
You have forgotten your purpose, as you have always stayed deluded.
You are a temporary guest for a small period in this world but still you get attached in this world. You have forgotten your original form & forgotten your relationship with the Divine.
Your true place is at the Divines door step, but you are entangled in the world.
In the end Kakaji clarifies,
Be prepared always for your departure, as goodness shall accompany you.
As you never know when shall you be called, as this world is not your permanent home, so you should always be prepared with your good deeds & virtues.
