First meeting with kaka

Jai Gurudev!
Satguru bhagawant ne koti koti pranaam!

I was 17 years old when I first met Kaka (Satguru Devendra Ghia). My meeting with Kaka (Satguru Devendra Ghia) could only occur through his blessings. Certain Jain monks which my family knew were after me to take Diksha (renunciation). They kept on calling me but I refused to go. Once they told me that they knew a certain astrologer and I should meet him. Again I refused to go. The so-called astrologer was none other than my dear satguru Kaka (Satguru Devendra Ghia). These Jain monks had thought he was an astrologer. They knew that he could solve people’s problems. They had asked him to convince me to become a Jain monk. My satguru has told them that he would pray to God (divine mother) but only as per my wishes and not their wishes. They had agreed and tried calling me several times but it was futile. Finally, Kaka told them, “tell her I am calling her.” When this message was conveyed to me, I decided to go and meet him.

On the day I met him, Kaka took my hand and immediately told everyone that, “Alpa wants to study further. She does not want to become a Jain monk.” Everyone was shocked, how he knew but I was pleased to know that he knew my inner feelings without even asking me. Later I came to know that when Kaka takes someone’s hand in his hand, everything in that person gets downloaded literally and he knows.

Subsequently, Kaka described my entire house and also sang a bhajan for me. I still remember those words and his voice still echoes - Tari Jeevan ni javabdari Tari ne Tari che (you are responsible for your own life, no one else is responsible). How appropriate those words and the meaning in the context of that meeting!

That meeting changed the destiny of my life and the goals in my life. Kaka always used to say to achieve god, one need not renunciate the world. The only thing required to achieve god is love for God and a deep desire to meet god and merge in god. Rest all is taken care of.
