આપણે કરશું સુખદુઃખની વાત, ધીરે-ધીરે

લઈશ તારું નામ, સાંભળજે `મા' તું, ધીરે- ધીરે

દઈશ તને મીઠાં પકવાન, ખાજે `મા' તું, ધીરે-ધીરે

વિવિધ શાક અને દઈશ ફરસાણ, ખાજે `મા' તું, ધીરે-ધીરે

ઉપરથી કરાવીશ સુગંધી જળપાન, પીજે `મા' તું, ધીરે-ધીરે

દઈશ તને કસ્તુરી નાખેલ પાન, ચાવજે `મા' તું, ધીરે-ધીરે

નીંદર આવતાં માત, આંખ બંધ કરજે `મા' તું, ધીરે-ધીરે

āpaṇē karaśuṁ sukhaduḥkhanī vāta, dhīrē-dhīrē

laīśa tāruṁ nāma, sāṁbhalajē `mā' tuṁ, dhīrē- dhīrē

daīśa tanē mīṭhāṁ pakavāna, khājē `mā' tuṁ, dhīrē-dhīrē

vividha śāka anē daīśa pharasāṇa, khājē `mā' tuṁ, dhīrē-dhīrē

uparathī karāvīśa sugaṁdhī jalapāna, pījē `mā' tuṁ, dhīrē-dhīrē

daīśa tanē kasturī nākhēla pāna, cāvajē `mā' tuṁ, dhīrē-dhīrē

English Explanation

Come and dwell in my heart, O Divine Mother, slowly, slowly,

We shall share our joys and sorrows, slowly, slowly.

I will call out your name; please listen, O Divine Mother, slowly, slowly,

I will offer you sweet delicacies; please eat them, O Divine Mother, slowly, slowly.

I will offer varieties of vegetables and snacks; please eat them, O Divine Mother, slowly, slowly,

Afterwards, I will serve you fragrant water; please drink it, O Divine Mother, slowly, slowly.

I will give you betel leaf infused with musk; please chew it, O Divine Mother, slowly, slowly,
