I am not the judge, still I have to play my part.

Every part I play, will go in as my past,

Right or wrong will be judged in the past,

Whatever I play, shadow in life it will cast,

Why should I be afraid in life to play my part?

I have always to be ready to play ultimate part to depart,

It is my inborn right to fight evil in me, make them depart.

English Explanation Increase Font Decrease Font

In this English hymn, He is informing us about each of our own individual role we must play in life based on our Karma (results of past actions) -

We have been blessed with being born as a human being ; this is not on a random basis but it has happened because of our past actions in previous lives and we have to perform our specific role in the current life

We will need to carry out all our preordained responsibilities till the time we are in this specific human body and we die (in this physical body)

It is not our purpose or role in life to question anyone or anything nor to assume anything or about anyone ; but yet, we have to perform our share of everything without paying heed to anything else

The moment we do anything i.e. carry out any action in our role, will be recorded as an action that we have done and become a part of our past as that moment of our action will be forever over

Whether we acted correctly or incorrectly, whether we did anything right or wrong, and in fact, every single action of our’s, will be judged as a part of our past

Whatever we have done will have a consequence for us in the present or the future, inevitably sometime or the other

But, when we do the correct actions and avoid incorrect actions, then we will have no cause for any concern or any worry

This does not mean that we shirk our responsibilities as an attempt to avoid any incorrect actions

We must have the conviction, faith, willpower and discipline such that we are able to do everything in the right way till we pass on

Once we realize what our role is and what all we need to do in our life, then nothing should divert us from this path

Kaka is guiding us on doing the right karma as everything is interconnected in some way or another. But not only this, Kaka has actually shown us repeatedly to reinforce in us how to actually do the right karma through his 10,000+ hymns. This is in essence is our spiritual journey as it will neither be simple nor easy nor quick for us to accomplish everything properly, as it involves complete deconstruction of our self and building someone completely know in the likeness of the Almighty. In order to even start and continue on this journey, we must seek the Divine Grace and completely surrender ourself to the Almighty and let Him take full control of our self and this life and do as He wants.
