Explanation in English
Shri Devendra Ghia, fondly called Pujya Kaka, our Guruji has given treasure of bhajans through which he is guiding us, influencing us, illuminating us and being with us always. In this beautiful Gujarati bhajan, he is directing us towards positivity in life.

He is saying...
As soon as, brightness spreads, the darkness runs away, both can never be together.

As soon as, happiness is found, the unhappiness disappears, both can never be together.

As soon as knowledge spreads, the ignorance goes away, both can never be together.

As soon as, detachment arises, the temptations go away, both can never be together.

As soon as sun rises, the night disappears, both can never be together.

When love spreads in heart, the revenge goes away, both can never be together.

When satisfaction is felt in heart, the hopes goes away, both can never be together.

As soon as compassion is felt in heart, cruelty disappears, both can never be together.

New moon spreads darkness, while full moon spreads light, both can never be together.

When richness (positivity) sets in heart, the poverty (negativity) runs away, both can never be together.

Kaka is beautifully explaining that two opposites can never be together. He is explaining this by giving many examples. Kaka is urging us to embrace the positivity like light (awareness), happiness, knowledge, detachment, love, satisfaction, kindness. Embracing such qualities will automatically discard negativity from within us. In order to make our life rich with good values, good thoughts and good karmas (actions), we have to filter out the poverty of negative thoughts and sinful actions. Your time with noble actions, your mind with good thoughts will result in disappearance of suffering like sadness from content heart.
