Gujarati Bhajan no. 949 by Satguru Devendra Ghia - Kaka

Explanation in English
Shri Devendra Ghia, our Guruji, fondly called Pujya Kaka has written many many bhajans on life approach along with devotional bhajans. Spiritual awakening in day to day life eventually leads to spiritual awareness and faith in Divine. In this Gujarati bhajan on destiny,

He is saying...

Someone is sleeping in happiness, while someone is crying in unhappiness.

Whatever is our destiny in the world, that is what we have reaped.

Someone is enjoying good health, while someone is taking every breath in sickness.

Someone is spending the whole day in hunger, while someone is eating hundred times in a day.

Someone faces insults his whole life, while someone gets praises all the time.

Someone speaks only hurtful words, while someone talks very sweetly.

Someone is living life of comfort and rest, while someone is working very hard in life.

Someone improves on knowledge by studying, while someone remains stagnant in ignorance.

Someone is very beautiful, while someone is too ugly to look at.

Looking at someone, affection is felt, while looking at someone disgust is felt.

Someone remains drowned in sins, while someone is all virtuous.

Someone lives life of loneliness, while someone lives life surrounded by people.

Kaka is explaining that all our experiences, feelings and achievements in life are the result of our own destiny, which is the result of our previous karmas (actions). Kaka is introspecting to tell us that quality of current life is the direct result of our previous actions. So, we are the ones, entirely responsible for our destiny. Kaka is urging us to have good thoughts, which will result in good actions, which will result in good vibrations not only in our lives and relationships, but will bring universal peace and harmony.

He has written about 10,000 hymns which cover various aspects of spirituality, such as devotion, inner knowledge, truth, meditation, right action and right living. Most of the Bhajans are in Gujarati, but there is also a treasure trove of Bhajans in English, Hindi and Marathi languages.
