Explanation in English
In this Gujarati bhajan,
He is saying...
Where what works, that’s what is done there, that’s what is done there.
On the door of a palace, a donkey cannot be displayed, and an elephant cannot be tied to the door of the hut.
Shehnai (musical instrument played at The wedding) cannot be played at the crematory, and sad songs about death cannot be played at the wedding.
Footwear cannot be worn on the head, and Mother cannot be called as father’s wife.
The grass is not suitable for a lion, and feast is not suitable for the sick.
During the day, stars cannot shine, and looking at palace, hut should not be burned.
A sword is not suitable in the hands of eunuch, and a beater cannot be given in the hands of a brave.
Passion is not suitable for a saint, and a hymn cannot be sung by a prostitute.
The heat doesn’t suit the moon, and the coolness cannot be sustained in the sun.
The knowledge doesn’t appeal to the hungry, and books of knowledge cannot be put in front of uneducated.
While worshipping and praying to God, the focus should not be on illusion.
Kaka is beautifully explaining that there are protocols for everything in life. There is certain etiquette in every activity. In cosmic arrangement also everything is aligned and serves a purpose. Just like social norms, there are Laws of nature. Kaka is also explaining that the result can be achieved only by one point focus. He is urging us that worship, prayer and devotion should be such that there is no deviation from it at any time or in any direction.
