Kope Jya Saga Tya Manavi Levay, Kope Jya Kudrat Kone Kehvay

(Knowledge, Truth, Thanks)

Gujarati Bhajan no. 1094 by Satguru Devendra Ghia - Kaka

Explanation in English
In this bhajan of life approach,
He is saying...
If family members are angry, they can be cajoled, but if Nature gets angry then who to tell.
If mistakes are made, it can be forgiven, but one cannot deal with committed sins.
When fire erupts, one can move away, but how to deal with the fire that is burning in the heart.
Even in bouncy sea, one can swim, but how can one swim in emotions of heart which has no faith.
Wounds of body can be healed, but wounds of heart can never be healed.
Things can be measured and valued, but true feelings can never be measured.
With light around, the darkness disappears, but with closed eyes, the light cannot be seen.
Karmas (actions) can be done with hands and legs, but when laziness creeps in the heart, then what to do.
Kaka is explaining that there are many things in life that can be managed, and controlled, but internal upheavals of our restless surging thoughts and emotions are very difficult to contain. Kaka is urging us to recognise the irrelevance and worthlessness of disturbing thoughts. Keep our eyes open to see the magic of light, rather than keeping it shut and complaining of darkness. When we make the effort then we create the power to invoke the divinity within. And see heaven unfolding just here.

He has written about 10,000 hymns which cover various aspects of spirituality, such as devotion, inner knowledge, truth, meditation, right action and right living. Most of the Bhajans are in Gujarati, but there is also a treasure trove of Bhajans in English, Hindi and Marathi languages.
