In this Gujarati Bhajan, Kakaji is introspecting himself and sharing it with the Divine Mother the feelings of being separated from her which is unbearable.

Your separation O'Mother is unbearable.
My mind gets tempted by illusions and it comes running towards it, tell me O'Mother.
Coming and going in this world started, but your vision couldn't be found, tell me O'Mother.
As I sit down to meditate, my mind starts to run away.
Sometimes the love flows from the mind, but it becomes difficult to catch hold of it.
In such a way all the hopes have emerged in the world, and there is no match among them. Tell me O'Mother.
Running just behind greed, being deprived from true benefits. Tell me O'Mother.
Happiness is like a mirage, getting it a bit we become happy. Tell me O'Mother.
Due to habits, we have become needy, and still, we do not want to get rid of this habit. Tell me O'Mother.
