Streams are nice and flowing rivers are also nice.
But when it becomes a flood, then it creates havoc.
Knowledge is nice and debate is also nice.
But when it becomes an animosity, then it creates havoc.
Discipline is nice and rules are also nice.
But when it generates tension, then it creates havoc.
Money is nice and Laxmi (wealth) is also nice.
But when it generates greed, then it creates havoc.
Strength is nice and power is also nice.
But when it unites with ego, then it creates havoc.
Grace is nice and mercy is also nice.
But when it generates weakness, then it creates havoc.
Kaka is explaining that anything in excess is harmful and does not represent growth. In fact, it creates inner and outer turmoil, which is detrimental to growth. Balance is the key to happiness and peace.
