કોઈ આવે ન આવે રે, તારી સાથે

તારું અંતર તો રહેશે સાથે ને સાથે
કોઈ હોયે ભલે પાસે ને પાસે
રહેશે અંતર, તારું તો સદાયે પાસે

રહેશે ના કદી તારા અંતરથી અજાણ્યા
કોઈને મારશે માર તું તો જ્યારે
અંતર તારું માર તો પહેલું ખાશે
કરીશ તું અન્યાય અન્યને જ્યારે
વાગશે ઠેસ, તારા અંતરને પહેલી ત્યારે
અંતરથી લાગશે જગ તારું જ્યારે
સુખદુઃખ અન્યના અંતર અનુભવશે ત્યારે
રાતદિવસ રહે છે એ તો સાથે ને સાથે
અવગણના એની રહ્યો છે કરતો સદાયે

In this Gujarati bhajan, Pujya Kakaji is saying…
Anyone comes with you or not, your conscience will always remain with you.
Anyone is there next to you or not, your conscience will always be there next to you.
Anyone sees your actions or not, your conscience will always know about them.
When you will hurt someone, your conscience will get hurt first.
When you will do injustice to someone, your conscience will bear the brunt of it first.
When you will see this world as your own, then the conscience will experience the joy and pain of others.
Day and night, it remains with you, but you have been ignoring it.
Kaka is explaining about human conscience (the moral sense of right and wrong) in this bhajan. Conscience is like a mirror showing one his/her actual self. Our thoughts, our actions, our true nature, which is hidden from the world, is always crystal clear in our conscience. But, we tend to ignore it due to many reasons like our selfishness, our ego, our anger, our animosity and so on. Kaka is urging us to follow our conscience’s pure nature and reduce the load of our karmas.
