On the crossroads I am, do not know what to do

Carried by passions, some deep, as they are too

Coming in contact with world, leave impressions in me

Some are so deep, difficult to wipe I find

Likes and dislikes, slowly and slowly, gather in me

Surprised to see, growing it in a big tree

Seeds sown by me, creator is also me and me

Search not outside, should search within me

English Explanation

In this English hymn, He talks about all the choices we have available to us and are not able to know what to do such that we become lost with no direction instead of finding our way to God -

Every day, we have many choices to choose as God gave us the freedom of choice

We choose to get so deeply absorbed with all the worldly things as we are completely influenced by only such things around us

These influences, whether good or bad, are allowed to became a big part of us

When these things then start controlling us, we realize that we only have chosen all this and allowed this to happen by our own choices

We should not have chosen such worldy pursuits but chosen only the one direction of knowing our own true self

It is natural that we will get influenced by what all we see, feel and experience around us, that we start thinking that there is nothing beyond this. So, we will focus only on these things such that we will not even consider any other things. We will become so attached to these worldly material things, that they will control whatever we feel. Instead, we should try to make our own self the only source of whatever we want to feel. So, we should have only a one track focus of going within ourselves as then only, we will be able to ultimately realize with God's grace that He is in us and we are in Him.
