ન લીધું નામ પ્રભુનું, ન કીધું કાર્ય પુણ્યનું
ન લીધું નામ પ્રભુનું, ન કીધું કાર્ય પુણ્યનું
જગમાં હું ખૂબ મહાલ્યો
સમય વીતતાં, આયુષ્ય ઘટતાં
ડર પ્રભુનો ખૂબ લાગ્યો
પાપ પુણ્યનો હિસાબ મારો
એના ચોપડે ખૂબ ચિતરાયો
એમાંથી બચવા માર્ગ ન મળતાં
મનમાં હું બહુ મૂંઝાણો
લાંચ લાગવગથી કામ સહુ થાતા
એ આદતથી બહુ ટેવાણો
પ્રભુને ગોતતાં, એ નવ મળતાં
કોઈ મને એનો પત્તો બતાવો
રાત દિવસ એની ચિંતા કરતા
હું ખૂબ ખૂબ સુકાણો
એને ખૂબ શોધતાં, એ નહીં મળતાં
અજબ રીતે છે એ છુપાણો
સાચા સંતે રબર બતાવ્યું
એ હિસાબ ભૂંસવાનું
નામ સ્મરણમાં હું ખૂબ ડૂબ્યો
તન મન ધન વિસરાયો

jag maa hu khub mahaalyo
samay vitatam, ayushya ghatataa
dar prabhu no khub laagyo
paap punyano hisaab maaro
ena chopade khub chitarayo
ema thi bachva maarg na malta
mann maa hu bahu munjano
laach laagvag thi kaam sahu thaata
e aadat thi bahu tevano
prabhune gotatam, e nav malta

Explanation in English
Here Kaka (Satguru Devendra Ghia) says that most of us are not taught from a young age about the importance of spiritual growth, but as old age creeps up, we start worrying about the kind of deeds we have been partaking in and try to find the solution.
Nor did you meditate on the Divine, nor did you follow the path of righteousness through the course of your life.
Now that you are getting older you suddenly fear God.
You realized that there is someone who has been keeping the account of all your deeds and that you can hide nothing.
Because of your old habit, you tried to bribe your way through this problem, but it was all in vain.
Because you realized that it is not easy to find the Divine. All your efforts had failed.
Day and night you roamed around, asking for his address to everyone. Eventually met a Saint who showed you the path that leads to the lord.
Meditating on Divine's name and immersing yourself in him is the only way to lose all your senses and with it your fears as well.
