(Self Realization, Introspection)

Gujarati Bhajan no. 284 by Satguru Devendra Ghia - Kaka

Explanation in English
Carving a stone created an idol and got worshipped as a God. God was created so simply.
A human doesn’t shape up even after getting hit so many times. God comes with so much love, excitement, care and blessings to lift the human to new height, but ignorant human doesn’t rise up to his immense love and grace.
Many examples in this bhajan, indicates this unparalleled scenario. God wants to give you blessings, but you remain intelligent fool to not accept it. There is nothing more unfortunate than that of getting a human life and then not realising of what is the purpose of this life that God has created for you. Examples describing this phenomenon are like how high tide of a sea, ran towards the banks with all the excitement, but the waves hit the stones on the banks and went back as low tide.
How rain from the cloud dropped to meet the earth with all the showers of love, sand still remained dry.
How moon gave so much light to earth on full moon’s day, but earth could not gather the light and went on to bear a new moon’s day.
How a human doesn’t feel the pain of God that he is giving to him by getting involved in all the irrelevant matters of life and not understanding the actual purpose of life for which he is born as a human.
In the end, kaka complains to God that why did he make a mistake and created human who is such a hypocrite and ignorant and not worthy of his love.

He has written about 10,000 hymns which cover various aspects of spirituality, such as devotion, inner knowledge, truth, meditation, right action and right living. Most of the Bhajans are in Gujarati, but there is also a treasure trove of Bhajans in English, Hindi and Marathi languages.
