વાસના સળવળાટ કરશે, જ્યારે પાપ અમારા જાગે છે

નિંદિત કર્મોમાં મન દોડશે, જ્યારે પાપ અમારા જાગે છે
સત્કર્મોમાં મનડું ચોંટશે, જ્યારે પુણ્ય આમારા પાકે છે
કુટુંબ કલેશમાં હૈયું રાચશે, જ્યારે પાપ અમારા જાગે છે
કુટુંબ મિત્રોની પ્રીત વધશે, જ્યારે પુણ્ય અમારા પાકે છે
લોભ લાલચે હૈયું લપટાશે, જ્યારે પાપ અમારા જાગે છે
પ્રભુ ભજન કાજે પ્રીત વધશે, જ્યારે પુણ્ય અમારા પાકે છે
કામ ક્રોધમાં હૈયું ડૂબશે, જ્યારે પાપ અમારા જાગે છે

Kakaji in this bhajan mentions the virtues and vices which increases with our good and bad deeds and thoughts-
The lust and greed will grow, when our sins will awaken
The heart will become subtle, when the virtues will ripen
The wickedness will grow in the heart, when our sins will awaken
Empathy will arise in the heart, when the virtues will ripen
The mind will run towards evil deeds, when the sins will awaken
The mind will be fixed in performing good deeds, when the virtues will ripen
The heart will embroil in family disputes, when the sins will awaken
The love of the family and friends will increase, when the virtues will ripen
The heart will be engulfed in greed and lust, when the sins will awaken
The love will increase by reciting God’s bhajans, when the virtues will ripen
The heart will drown in greed and anger when the sins will awaken
The heart will be satisfied, when the virtues will ripen.
Kakaji, in this beautiful hymn, tells us to worship God and sing in Her glory and to completely abstain from the vices and committing sins.
