પાંખ વિનાનું મનડું મારું, અહીં તહીં ઊડી જાય, અહીં તહીં ઊડી જાય
પાંખ વિનાનું મનડું મારું, અહીં તહીં ઊડી જાય, અહીં તહીં ઊડી જાય
તોફાને ચડેલ વાયુ, કાબૂ વિનાનું મન, એ તો તાંડવ સરજી જાય
વાયુની ગતિ છે ભયંકર, વચ્ચે ઝાડ, ખડકના પણ ભૂક્કા બોલી જાય
મનની ગતિ પણ છે અનોખી, પળમાં એ તો સૂર્યની પાર પહોંચી જાય
કરોળિયાની જાળની જેમ જાળ રચીને, મનડું એમાં અટવાઈ જાય
અસંગતાનું શસ્ત્ર ધારણ કરીને, એ જાળને ભેદી શકાય
સંયમ કેરી લગામ બાંધજો, શરૂમાં એને પણ ઘસડી જાય
ધીરે ધીરે એ તો કાબૂમાં આવશે, પછી એ કહ્યું કરતું થાય
ધીમે ધીમે પ્રભુ પ્રેમમાં વાળજો, પ્રેમરસ પાજો એને સદાય
સાચો એ પ્રેમરસ ચાખશે જ્યાં, પછી ત્યાંથી એ નહીં હટી જાય

Shri Satguru Devendraji Ghia an ardent devotee of the Divine Mother mentions the different ways of controlling the Mind and diverting it towards the worship of God-
My mind is without wings, it keeps on wandering here and there, it keeps on wandering here and there
The violent wind, the unruly mind, it creates the Tempest
The violent Tempest destroys the trees, turns the rocks into pieces
The speed of the mind is incredible, in a fraction of a second it reaches the sun
It weaves the web like a spider's web, the mind gets entrapped in it
It creates the weapon of
Incompatibility and the mind recognises it
Put the reins by performing abstinence, beginning it will also be dragged
It will gradually be in control and eventually it will obey the commands
Gradually divert the mind towards the worship of God, enjoy the nectar always
When the right juice of the nectar is tasted, then the mind will never leave from there.
