બાળક રડે ને `મા' જોઈ રહે, એવું કદી બનતું નથી

હૈયે વિયોગ રહે, આંખે આંસુ ના વહે, એવું કદી બનતું નથી
ધરતી તપતી રહે ને પ્યાસ ના લાગે, એવું કદી બનતું નથી
હૈયે તોફાન ઊઠે ને મન શાંત રહે, એવું કદી બનતું નથી
બાળક સામે દોડે, હૈયું `મા' નું હરખી ના ઊઠે, એવું કદી બનતું નથી
`મા’ ની નજર પડે ને બાળક હરખી ના ઊઠે, એવું કદી બનતું નથી
વર્ષા વરસી રહે, મોર ટહુકા ના કરે, એવું કદી બનતું નથી
પૂનમનું તેજ ધરતી પર પડે, સાગર ઊછળી ના પડે, એવું કદી બનતું નથી
પુણ્ય જાગી ઊઠે ને જીવનમાં ઉપાધિ રહે, એવું કદી બનતું નથી
