Peharya Vij Tana Kandora, Odhya Chir To Amber Tana

(Navratri)

Gujarati Bhajan no. 707 by Satguru Devendra Ghia - Kaka

Explanation in English
In this beautiful bhajan, Shri Devendra Ghia, our Guruji, fondly called Pujya Kaka is describing a night of Navratri (nine auspicious days of Divine Mother) by giving symbolisms of elements of nature through which Divine Mother is present with her devotees.
He is saying...
Divine Mother is wearing a waist band of lightning and she is wearing a saree of sky.
The sound of drizzling rain is the sound of the Anklet of Divine Mother.
Through the light of moon and sun, the radiance of Divine Mother is spreading.
With colours of the evening sky at the time of sunset Divine Mother’s saree is filled with colours.
Twinkling stars are creating a pattern in Mother’s saree.
With every steps of Divine Mother, light is spread on the earth.
The water of the ocean and rivers is doing affusion of Divine Mother’s feet.
The cool breeze is blowing to comfort the Divine Mother.
Through the sweet sounds of birds, music of Divine Mother is spreading all around.
Bowing of every branch of trees is symbolising every human head bowing in front of Divine Mother.
On this night of nine Nortas (nine auspicious days), amazing colours of Divine Mother have spread.
Humans are dancing away and everyone is soaked in joy and bliss.
Kaka has described the whole beautiful environment on the night of Navratri (nine auspicious days) when Divine Mother’s presence is experienced in everything and everywhere and there is only joy and bliss prevailing all around.
