સાચું ક્યારે ખોટું થાતું, ખોટું ક્યારે સાચું એ તો ન જાણું - માડી..
પારકા કોણ ને મારા કોણ, કદી એ તો ના સમજાયું - માડી...
દિનને રાતમાં પલટાતી જોઈ, રાતને દિનમાં પલટાતી જોઈ - માડી...
માયા દેખાયે સાચી, તું તો ના દેખાયે, મતિ મારી મૂંઝાતી - માડી...
દુઃખ તો સુખમાં પલટાતું, ક્યારે સુખદુઃખમાં બદલાતું - માડી...
બાળપણ સાચું, યુવાની સાચી, કે ઘડપણ સાચું એ ના સમજાતું - માડી..
અનુભવે અનુભવે ઘડાતો, તોયે મનડું તો ના બદલાતું - માડી...

In this Gujarati bhajan, Shri Devendra Ghia, our Guruji, fondly called Pujya Kaka (Satguru Devendra Ghia) is introspecting and shedding light on the eternal constant truth and ever changing world.
He is saying...
What to do and what not to do, O Mother, that I cannot understand. I am very confused, I am very confused.
What is Karma ( action) and what is not Karma, O Mother, the difference, I cannot understand.
When the truth becomes false and when the false becomes the truth, O Mother, that I cannot understand.
Who is my own and who is not, O Mother, that I cannot understand.
I have seen day turning into night and night turning into day.
I have seen illusion as real and never seen you ever, O Mother, intelligent mind of mine is confused.
Sadness turns into happiness, and many times, happiness turns into sadness.
Childhood is the truth, youth is the truth or old age is the truth, O Mother, that I cannot understand.
With experience and experience, I get moulded and matured, O Mother, even then my Mind doesn’t understand.
I believed this body to be the truth, O Mother, then it experiences many diseases.
Soul cannot be seen, then also, it is the truth, O Mother, with experience, that much I understood.
Kaka (Satguru Devendra Ghia) is reflecting on the confusion that prevails on our minds at the time when we are standing at the crossroads of what to believe and what not to believe. With our logical mind we tend to believe in what we see in front of our eyes, though it could be false and we tend to ignore what is unseen but the fact of life.
Changing body from child to youth to old age, or changing days and nights, or changing relationships, or changing emotions and above all, not so permanent illusion is not the truth. Eternal existence of our soul, which is part of Supreme Soul is the eternal truth of our existence, and acknowledging the same is the first step in spiritual journey.
