In this English hymn, He guides us on how to get peace in our life -
As we do not live in a cocoon, we will face all kinds of circumstances in life, both favorable and unfavorable ; while we gladly accept all the favorable things in life, we have difficulties with all the unfavorable things in life
If we allow the unfavorable things in life to take control of our mind such that we are always be directed by it with focus just only on that, we will not be able to find any type of peace
We must try to never think of wrong solutions to our difficulties or consider wrong actions to resolve our difficulties
God is always there to help us and we should never hesitate to seek His help
If we do not keep faith in God and have patience that God will do whatever is best for us and give us the strength to deal with all difficulties, then we will never allow ourselves to have any peace
We have to have an amicable nature such that we do not get inclined to fight with everyone or people will avoid us
We must not develop nor take up wrong habits of any kind, as by its nature, it will cause us unnecessary problems, which is bound to result in some sort of turmoil
Despite all our attempts, we may feel that we are nowhere at peace ; but, we may not even realize how all our attempts have actually managed to minimize a lot of our aggravations, without which we would never have gotten closer to being peaceful
If we are unable to realize that there is always another side to any issue, we would have failed to see the opportunity and merit that may exist
We are bound to keep making mistakes but if we do not learn anything from our mistakes and how to avoid the same mistakes at the least, we will be in an unending cycle of mistakes and will never be able to come out of it ; God is the only person who can help us overcome any thing in life that may be thrown our way
In order for us to have any type of peace in our life, we must control ourselves to not get distressed in any way, not indulge in any wrong type of thinking or do wrong things, develop a non-confrontational attitude towards everyone and avoid wrong habits, and keep faith in God's help, we will surely start enjoying more and more peace in our life. Ultimately, when we become one with God, we will be able to achieve real, total and unending peace.
