In sorrowful sorrow, in ecstasy of joy, I am missing something,
If I get everything, but not that something, it's nothing;
Anywhere and everywhere that something is there, still do not get something
If that something is missing, in life everything is missing.
Something never goes anywere, it is pervading everything,
Without that, satisfaction would not come and last
Something is everything and in everything there is that something,
Talk and stop, that something is there, that something is my everything.

SATGURU DEVENDRA GHIA (KAKA)

Explanation in English
In this English hymn, Kaka (Satguru Devendra Ghia) is drawing a parallel on his seeking for the Almighty -
In all our lives, we are actually always searching for some thing, that we somehow find hard to define or even visualise or even acknowledge ; whatever we feel in life, whatever we do get or have in life, no matter how good, we still feel that there is something missing and somehow does not fulfil us wholly
Even when we are feeling dejected, we do not truly understand why we are feeling so ; we will then feel that something somehow is not right
Even when we are feeling happy about something, we still are unable to hold on to this feeling as after a while, it loses it’s effect on us ; we will then feel that something somehow is not right
Even when we are able to achieve whatever we were trying to get, we feel start feeling that it was not actually that worthwhile and we will start seeking some thing else ; we will still keep feeling unfulfilled all the while
We are aware and know that whatever we want is actually out there somewhere ; we think and hope that we will be able to find something by looking for it everywhere but somehow are not able to do so
We realise that as we are still not fulfilled despite having every thing, we still have not achieved the true and the actual
This kind of inner unease and feeling does not ever get lessened and as a result, we are never content or remain content with anything in life
We are unable to grasp that what we are actually seeking is the actual purpose of our life and how to achieve that and yet, we do not realise that seeking that out is also truly the actual purpose of our life and how we can achieve that
We must accept and acknowledge that there is a higher, greater, inexplicable force out there and to become one with that needs to be our only goal in life
Kaka (Satguru Devendra Ghia) is explaining how we are part of the Almighty and unless and until we are able to become one with Him, we will never be able to become peaceful and experience true happiness. All our actions that do not bring us closer to God will only take us farther from God and we will not be able to become one with God. We need to surrender ourselves to God, continuously seek His blessings in His enabling everything as per His wishes and thereby carry out only His wishes, such that He finally bestows His Divine Grace upon us and enables us to achieve true bliss, that is all encompassing and permanent.
